Three Bridges

Wormull hunting talent for Bridges’ academy

Three Bridges are on the lookout for talented youngsters to join the club’s academy ahead of its second season.

Led by former Lewes and Crawley Down Gatwick boss Simon Wormull, the team plays in the Kent & South East London division of the Conference Youth Alliance.

It also provides 10-12 hours education per week, allowing the players to obtain an NVQ level three qualification and sets them on the road to a potential coaching career.

The academy is open to those aged between 16 and 19 and could open up a route to the Bridges first team and beyond.

The youngsters will take on teams from Charlton, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Millwall. Eastbourne Borough also have a side in the division.

Wormull, whose playing career included spells at Crawley, Lewes and Eastbourne Borough, took over the academy in January. He is also a director of Premier Soccer Trips.
