East Grinstead’s Ryman promotion confirmed
East Grinstead Town will definitely be playing Ryman League football next season after East Preston withdrew their ground grading appeal.
Sussex County League champions East Preston were denied promotion after their Lashmar home was deemed not to have met the required standards by the end of March cut-off point.
They had asked the Football Association to reconsider but have now withdrawn that appeal.
It means the Wasps, who finished second behind East Preston and were recommended for promotion by the Ryman League, will be able to plan for next season.
The club is looking for new players who might have the necessary experience, skill and determination to compete at step four of the pyramid.
