Boro’ deserved point at Bromley – Widdrington

Eastbourne Borough boss Tommy Widdrington felt his side deserved at least a point from their midweek trip to Bromley.
Elvis Hammond scored a late consolation for Borough but Widdrington believes enough chances were created against the Skrill South promotion chasers to avoid defeat.
Widdrington said: “I thought we played well and were unfortunate to concede the goals we did.
“We knew it was going to be a tough match. They had a couple of bad results but a side that can get 60 points on the board is not a bad team.
“They really came at us in the early stages and they got away with a few things. But we are not complaing that is part and parcel of football.
“On another day we would have come home with a point.
“But we have to take this one on the chin and move forward as we have a tough run of games coming up.”
