Brighton’s loan striker Jon Obika has been recalled by Tottenham and has joined Charlton until the end of the season.

Obika’s 93-day stint with Albion was not due to end until April 11 but his opportunities have been limited and both Will Hoskins and Craig Mackail-Smith are now easing back towards first team contention.

It means Obika could now line up against the Seagulls for his latest loan club at the Amex on April 12.

Knee op victim Hoskins scored, had a penalty saved and set up a late winner for Dylan Barnett as the development team beat Bournemouth 2-1 in a friendly at Withdean this afternoon.

Mackail-Smith played the first half on his comeback from a groin tear which interrupted his return from almost a year out with Achilles and ankle injuries.
